Once a prosperous 900 acre cotton plantation, Cedar Grove is a country estate tucked away on 150 acres of rolling forest and farmland in the Kingston settlement of Natchez, Mississippi. Thick with 200 year old cedars, cypress, pecan and oak trees covered with Spanish moss, Cedar Grove has the distinctive look of the South.

Absalom Sharp from New Jersey built Cedar Grove in the 1830's. Built close to the Kingston Road, the brick story-and-a-half Greek Revival house forgoes the usual front gallery for an entrance loggia with Doric columns and a rear gallery enclosed at each end by the side walls of the house. The rear gallery overlooks the rose garden, the plantation acreage and one of the five ponds located on the property. The house retains its original L-shaped outbuilding that unites the kitchen, servants dining room, stable and schoolhouse in a single structure.

• Take 61 South toward Baton Rouge.
• Go 3.4 miles past Natchez Regional Hospital
• Turn left on Kingston Road go 5.9 miles until you see the Kingston Fire Department on the left. You will continue straight for .4 miles and Cedar Grove is on the left.
